He doesn’t have to pray outside,

He needs a warm place (masjid) to get with his muslim friends together and pray.

My message to all of you, whether you’re Muslim or not. We all need masjids/mosques to pray united to our God (Allah). This is our prior need.

Ahmad... such an innocent kid. This Life gave him a heart like a bird. When he sees his friend, Nematzadeh, fall to the ground, he comes back and helps him get him up. However, he forgets his student book in his backpack. When he arrives home, he notices that he has his book in his bag, and starts to worry because a couple of hours before the teacher had warned his friend, Nematzade, to write his homework in his student book. He has to give it to him back today, otherwise his best friend will be expelled.

These are my plot feelings about this beautiful and innocent movie. Being a child equals being pure, innocent, kind, and true-hearted. We usually remember and miss our childhood times, this might be because we get dirty day by day, and our childhood stay there as clean as the first day there.

- Aslında yazı dilim görsel dilime nazaran pekte iyi sayılmasada Klimov’un yönettiği bu harikulade film hakkında bir kaç satır bir şeyler yazmak istiyorum. Savaşın psikolojik yanının yıkıcı anlatımı mı desem, korkunun şaşkınlıkla, şaşkınlığın ise üzüntü ile sürekli iç içe geçtiği bir ortamda mücadele eden insanlar mı desem bilemiyorum. Ama bu filmden öğrendiğim net bir şey var. Hayvan bile avını avlarken rakibini en kolay yoldan canını alır ve amacına ulaşır iken, insan yeri geldiğinde ne için dahi savaştığını bilmeyen bir canavara dönüşüp sadece acı vermekten zevk alan taşlaşmış kalpli bir yaratığa dönüşebiliyor imiş. Filmin psikolojik yönü ile alakalı konuşulacak daha bir çok madde olsada ben az bir şey de sinematografisinden bahsedip bitirmek istiyorum.

Sinematografi açısından hemen her sahnesinde içinde barındırdığı görsel şölen ile izleyiciyi epey doyuruyor. Özellikle bir kaç yerde denk geldiğim ''Split Diopter'' focus ise mükemmel bir detay idi. Diğer yandan genellikle bir çok focus çekimleri ''close up'' veya ''mid close up'' dan oluşuyor arka derinlik ise seyirciye epey bir heyecan hissi veriyor {bana verdi en azından =) }

- "It's said that you can't make an effective anti-war film because war by its nature is exciting, and the end of the film belongs to the survivors. No one would ever make the mistake of saying that about Elem Klimov's "Come and See." This 1985 film from Russia is one of the most devastating films ever about anything, and in it, the survivors must envy the dead" (And I looked, and behold a pale horse).

In one of the scenes, a man is about to die because his entire body is burnt-out. He says, "They covered me with petrol. I was burning. I ran after them. I begged them.. pray, kill me. They laughed. They laughed." This moment was emotional because the worst case that we face might be begging people to kill us. But instead, they prefer to torture and burn us so that we can feel the agony in our every part.
